Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Wireless White

Wireless speakers have come a long way from tin cans that make vocals sound like squealing truck brakes. Both in form and function, longstanding British audio kings Bowers & Wilkins has frequently improved on what came before. Fresh off a collaboration with Burberry, the brand is re-releasing its critically acclaimed Zeppelin speakers in an all-new white colourway. With two Double Dome tweeters, two midrange drivers and a larger 6.5inch subwoofer, it’s what music was made for. Available from August at Bowers & Wilkins, priced £499.

Victorinox Inox Paracord

Four years of deliberation, three years of development, 421 prototypes and 130 tests. It’s fair to say Victorinox cut no corners when it set out to establish a new standard in watchmaking. The result, the near-indestructible I.N.O.X, is sturdy enough to withstand being run over by a tank, set on fire and put through a washing machine. You know, all the usual things we do with our watches. Now the brand favoured by the Swiss Army has updated the style with a new paracord strap. Originally used for parachute suspension lines, when unraveled the cord can be used to craft a fishing net, replace a shoelace or form a bow drill for making fire. Again, standard. Available at Victorinox, priced £495.

Montblanc Writers Edition: William Shakespeare

It was William Shakespeare in act one of Hamlet who wrote: ‘Apparel oft proclaims the man.’ Expressed in modern times as ‘clothes make the man’, even centuries after his death the bard’s nuggets of wisdom still ring true. Limited to 1597 pieces, the year Romeo and Juliet was first published, the pen comes in an octagonal shape inspired by the Globe Theatre and features engravings that reference his most famous plays. To buy or not to buy? It’s not really a question. Available to pre-order in Montblanc stores, priced £2,800.
